dc.description.abstractThis infographic includes the summary of parliament in March 2023. There were 8 parliament sittings in March 2023. During the 8 parliament sittings, 78 written questions were asked but only 27 questions were answered. There were 5 Adjournment motions and Ranjith Siyambalapitiya was the most contributed MP for the Adjournment motions. 12 announcements were made by the Speaker during the 8 parliament sittings. The number of Bills, Regulations and Orders was 6, 7 and 0 respectively. Under Private Member's Bills, there was 1 Incorporation Bill whereas no Bills for the Public interest. There were 6 questions by the Private notice at the Parliament in March 2023. 66 Point of orders were raised in total and 58 were ruled as technical point of orders whereas 8 were ruled as disruptive point of orders. 30 statements were considered as expunged statements and Chaminda Wijesiri was the most responsible MP for the expunged statements at the parliament in March 2023.en_US
