dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this analysis is to ensure that VR’s IMF Tracker can be used more effectively to raise public awareness about monitoring of public finance, and to increase its use by CSOs to monitor progress. The analysis will feed into enhancing public participation and transparency in budget processes, which is urgently needed given Sri Lanka’s low performance in this respect.
This set of infographics, which analyses Sri Lankan government’s progress on meeting 100 trackable IMF commitments for May 2023, creates social media engagement/public engagement, to the VR’s IMF tracker to explain the EFF-supported program and how to use the IMF Tracker (available as far as possible in all three languages). According to the May analysis, Sri Lanka has so far met 29% of IMF commitments, partly met 1% of the commitments while 6% of the commitments are unknown, 3% are not met and 61% are pending. | en_US |
