dc.description.abstractOn February 9th 2024, the Ethics Eye team published an infographic featuring charts that compare the instances of women being highlighted in a negative context in Sinhala newspapers between 2022 and 2023. The infographic highlights that, in 2022, Divaina newspaper had the highest number of violations in this category while Ada reported the lowest number of violations. In 2023, Dinamina newspaper recorded the highest number of violations in this category, while Divaina newspaper had the fewest violations. Dinamina, Lankadeepa, Aruna, Mawbima and Ada recorded more violations in 2023 compared to 2022, whereas Divaina showed improvement with fewer violations in 2023 compared to the previous year.en_US
