dc.description.abstractOn 5th February 2024, the Ethics Eye team published an infographic with charts comparing the usage of the terms "Dooshanaya (දූෂණය)" and "Kelesima (කෙලෙසීම)" in Sinhala newspapers between 2022 and 2023. The infographic highlights that, in 2022, Divaina newspaper had the highest number of violations in this category while Ada reported the lowest number of violations. In 2023, Dinamina newspaper had the highest number of violations in this category, while Ada had no violations. Mawbima recorded the fewest violations in 2023. Dinamina, Aruna, and Lankadeepa recorded more violations in 2023 compared to 2022, whereas Divaina, Mawbima, and Ada showed improvement with fewer violations in 2023 compared to the previous year.en_US
