It outlines the formal regulatory framework, analyzing laws such as the ICCPR Act, Penal Code, and Prevention of Terrorism Act, and evaluates their effectiveness and potential misuse. Additionally, it explores alternative regulatory approaches, including self-regulation by social media platforms, independent oversight mechanisms, and counter-messaging initiatives to promote digital literacy and ethical engagement. The presentation highlights the challenges of enforcement and proposes policy.
