100 years of COPA

Abstract

The Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) celebrated its 100th anniversary on October 17, 2023. As an Oversight Committee, COPA is tasked with overseeing the use of public funds for executing public policies. This infographic highlights upon the history behind its establishment, as it was setup in response to a motion placed before the Legislative Council by E.R. Tambimuttu on October 5, 1921. Moreover, examined the committee's current operation.
