Abstract
In the month of December 2018, articles published in several newspapers contained misleading and sensational headlines and inaccurate information which is a violation of media ethical guidelines. On 2 December 2018, Sunday Times published an article regarding dissolution of cabinet of ministers quoting incorrect article of the constitution. This entry also includes two information analyses on how the newspapers (published on 1, 2, 3 and 4 December 2018) reported on Mahinda Rajapaksa’s designation.
