The Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) published its final report on 16 December 2011. On 26 July 2012, the government released a National Plan of Action (NPA) to implement the LLRC's recommendations. In March 2012, the Inited Nations Human Rights Council passed Resolution 19/2 on Promoting Reconciliation and Accountability in Sri Lanka. The Resolution specifically called for the implementation of the 'constructive recommendations' of the LLRC. 105 of the LLRC recommendations fall into eight categories of constructive recommendations. The Government of Sri Lanka released its latest Monitoring Report on implementing the LLRC's recommendations in September 2014. The categories are as follows: i) Extra-judicial killings and enforced disappearances, ii) Demilitarisation, iii) Land dispute resolution, iv) Detention Policy, v) Civil institutions, vi) Devolution of power, vii) Freedom of expression, viii) Rule of law, ix) Language, social integration and reconciliation, x) Return, restitution and development and xi) Vulnerable groups. This report provides a detailed account of the implementation status of all 189 actionable recommendations of the LLRC.en_US
